Completion & Submission of Assessment Policy

This policy is based on equality and fairness for all Learners.

All PHECC courses include Assessment Techniques and are carried out in accordance with PHECC guidelines.

At the start of each course Learners are given information on the Assessment Techniques for their particular course.

ABSENCE FROM AN ASSESSMENT:

Assessments are carried out during the Classroom Sessions of a course, i.e. Examinations, Skills Demonstrations, etc.

All Learners must complete the required hours for their course which includes the assessment. Learners must  inform Paul Bowler Training if they are going to be absent from all or part of their assessment . Valid excuses, e.g., illness, funeral, family occasion or an important work event, etc., will only be accepted. The Company reserves the right to request additional confirmation for the absence.

All absences must be approved by the company. If the reason for the absence is accepted as valid then the company will offer the Learner a place on the next available course or on an alternative date.

Once the alternative course /dates are agreed, Learners are only given this opportunity to re-attend for assessment.

If a request to miss / defer an assessment is refused by the Centre then the Learner will not be eligible for PHECC certification.

ILLNESS DURING AN ASSESSMENT:

A learner, who due to illness, cannot continue with an assessment which is scheduled during a classroom session (e.g., examination or skills demonstration) are afforded the opportunity to re-sit the assessment at the next available course. They must complete the course within a 4 week timeframe. If the assessment is not completed within 4 weeks the full course will need to be completed in order to achieve certification.

NOTE:             In the event that a Learner is sponsored on a course by their company Paul Bowler Training

may inform the sponsor company if a Learner has not completed their assessments.
