Abrasive Wheel Training

Abrasive wheels training is legally required for everyone involved in the selection, storage and handling, mounting, dressing and use of abrasive wheels. This includes all types of abrasive wheels either fixed (e.g. Bench grinders or polishers) or portable (e.g. angle grinders).

  • Types of Accidents
  • Types of Wheels
  • Wheel Markings
  • British Standard Marking System
  • Wheel Structure
  • Storage and Handling/Transportation
  • Testing of Wheels
  • Mounting and Balancing
  • Wheel dressing
  • Guards
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Practical assessments

 

Number of trainees: 10 – 12 maximum.

 

Training conducted by a ROSPA accredited Instructor.

Participants receive an Abrasive Wheel Mounting Certificate which is valid for 3 years upon completion of the course.
