Description

The People Handling Course is a one day course.

It is designed for someone that will be moving and handling people at home or in the workplace.

The course teaches you how to move people in a safe way so that you do not hurt or injure yourself or them.

We use the 8 principles of Manual Handling applied to scenarios moving people:

• Assisting a person to walk, sit, stand.
• Sitting to standing
• Walking from bed to chair
• Bed to chair
• Chair to hoist
• Profile bed to hoist etc.

The health & safety of the person doing the lift and the person being moved are stressed throughout the exercises.

Emphasis is on getting each learner to perform the practical elements of the course.
